Essential oil Play dough.
After reading another blog I decided to use my favorite essential oil blends & Plant Therapy Synergies that I normally use on rice bags & in essential oil diffuser & share them with you.
I am using the basic play dough recipe I already had & we use, you can use it or your own recipe. And maybe you will come up with your own favorite blend.
Play dough recipes I will be sharing in this post:

What is so awesome about making your own play dough is how easy, cheap, natural & free of toxins it issince you control what goes in it. Adding the essential oils adds so much amazingnessto a cheap play time that can last hours & hours. Just remember to keep in a zipper bag or a seal tight container when not in use.
All my essential oils are from Plant Therapy & all are great quality. I must admit we have done similar before with a type of moon sand recipe, but I knew my kids would enjoy play dough even more.
Note: you might need to add more essential oils after a few days, make sure to store in air tight container, if play dough starts drying out some just add some essential oils, if you want to keep this play dough fresh longer mist with colloidal silver & knead it into the dough. If your play dough comes out to dry add a bit more water, if it comes out to wet add a bit more dry ingredients until it looks right.
Great for sick kids to help them feel better & lift their mood, great for big kids as well, just remember to not hog all the fun & share with anyone else whomight be inneedof some feel good essential oil play dough.
Ifound asimilar play dough idea from another blogger“Play Dough For When Your Child Has a Cold” You might like checking it out since the blogger uses different essential oils in her play dough.
Fun Time, Get well Time, DIY Essential oil Play Dough.
All of the recipes are the same other than adding the different essential oils, but I am adding the recipe each time so you can go right to therecipe you want to makewithout having to scroll up & down for the info. I used my children as test subjects & they unknown to them helped me find the best play dough & essential oil combos.
Enjoy &I hope your little ones have as many hours of enjoyment as mine did.

One of the amazing things I discovered was that my daughter who is OCD & veryshe very easily has melt downsloved I added her favorite essential oil Synergy to the play dough, not only does she love sitting & doing things alone, & loves being creative, but the Calming the child Synergy by Plant Therapy added to the play dough helped her get out of one of her melt down moods, & she proceeded to play an hour quietly & even did not mind sharing once or twice with her siblings.

I am almost in love with the Immune aid synergy by Plant Therapy, it fast became a favorite of mine for soaking in a bath or to have in my diffuser at my desk, not only does it help ward off sickness & builds the immune system, for me it lifts my mood & all of my kids agree, so adding the Immune aid to the play dough for them to try was a no brainer, My youngest is still sitting here hours later enjoying rolling it out in to cars & monsters, he has an active imagination, all the while telling me he loves how the play dough smells, what a great combo, imaginative play time while building his immune system.

I love the idea of this play dough for in the future if one of my kids has a cold or respiratory issue. adding the Respir-Aid Synergy by Plant Therapy gives me peace of mind that the quality essential oils will help my child, My 15-year-old daughter enjoyed playing with this one, shes the one who made the heart in all the pictures. She can be very animated & said she imagined herself covered in play dough hearts ❤ I know I will make great use of this play dough in the future, heck I am sitting here rolling it in my fingers now making a snake.

Around here from cleaners, to shampoo (no poo) to deodorant our favorite essential oil combo is Tea tree, Eucalyptus & Lemon essential oil. I have several kids who already loved to add this combo to amoon sandlike DIY recipe & play with it. so taking this one to play dough I knew would be a hit. And it was, my 11 & 12 year olds seemed in play dough la la land creating every imaginable creature possible all the while stating how much they love I used this combo of scents, they played with it all the way up to bed time. This is perfect for anytime that your child does not feel well, great for cough, sinuses, congestion or all around feeling bad.

Now go get to making these amazingly great Play dough recipes for your kids, you can even let them help you make them as an addedbonus. I bet if my great-grandmother was still living with us she would have the kids sitting in her room with her & molding play dough & she too could benefit from the essential oils.
As a reminder to all Moms & Dads, please do not give to very young ones who may choke on or eat the play dough, essential oils are ok to ingest in small amounts so are relatively safe in these recipes, but I personally would not advise eating.
